Does anyone have instructions on how to make a cello?
Hi, I really really want to learn to play the cello but I don’t have the cash for it. However, I have access to lots of wood and I know a couple of carpenters. Is it possible to make a cello or is this a horrible idea? Btw, I have no experience with a cello, only guitar, violin, and piano. Does anyone have plans, blueprints, or instructions on how to make this?
Ive read up on those Strobel books, and I am going to attempt to build something smaller first to see if this is possible at all. So, ive decided to build a violin. Does anyone have access to a Stradivari diagram or drawing that I can model my violin upon?

Without the proper tone woods and hard woods, dimensional plans, steam systems, forming jigs, carving tools, etc. You’re in hopelessly over your head. Carpenters aren’t instrument makers, and they’re not going to do your bidding for free.
