How long will it take before i’m decent enough at guitar to play in a band?
i’ve been playing guitar for about 2 1/2 months (about 4 or 5 lessons) and can play a decent amount of major and minor chords and some bar chords and 2 fingered bar chords, don’t know anything about reading actual music and can play these songs
1. day tripper-the beatles
2. smoke on the water(duh!)-deep purple
3. in bloom(opening)-nirvana
4. get it faster(full song including solo)-jimmy eat world
5. how many more times-led zeppelin
6. she’s a superstar(opening)-the verve
7. sunshine of your love-cream
and some bits and pieces of other things, most of these songs i listed up there were either self taught by or read by tabs
any tip and or suggestions or criticism would be appreciated thanks!!
everyone is different, so just keep on practicing and you will know when the time is right, I have a 1970 gibson es335
